Economy permits an 8 kg cabin bag plus personal item; some premium fares allow a higher combined allowance.
Business, Economy X, and Velocity Gold, Platinum or Platinum Plus members may choose one standard bag up to 8 kg, two small bags (48 x 34 x 23 cm each) up to 14 kg combined, or one standard bag plus a suit pack (114 x 60 x 11 cm) up to 14 kg combined, plus one personal item. No individual item may exceed 8 kg. Flights operated by Alliance Airlines or Link Airways on behalf of Virgin Australia receive the Economy carry-on allowance regardless of cabin or Velocity status. Virgin Australia Charter guests receive the Economy carry-on allowance only.
